Wear
It is the term used to indicate tread wear. There are different types of wear in relation to tyre use.

Wear indicators
They consist of 1.6mm high rubber projections located in the main grooves of the tread (see TWI).

Wear regularity
This means the attitude of a tyre to wear down more or less uniformly along the surface of the tread.

Wheelbase
Distance between the rotation axles of the front and rear wheels.

Wheelbase
Distance between the centre line axes of the front wheels.

Winter tyres
They are characterised by tread patterns and compounds particularly suitable for giving road traction on snowy roads. They can be identified by the marking M+S Mud and Snow.

Working temperature
It is said that a loaded rotating tyre has reached a working temperature when the heat generated by the hysteresis phenomena becomes equal to the heat dispersed in the environment. This dispersion only occurs when there is a heat jump between the internal temperature and the environment temperature.
