H2 double hump
Profile of the rim for fitting tubeless tyres which ensure that the bead is seated on the two balconies even when the inflation pressure is lower than the operating pressure, preventing bead seat dislodgment.

Handling
It is an area of the behaviour which includes all the items which imply the use of tyres without losing transversal traction. The items are evaluated by going along appropriately chosen roads and motorways which contain a series of bends with large and small radiuses at different speeds. This part includes all the items which can easily be experienced by a driver under normal driving conditions (soft handling).

Hard handling
It refers to an area of handling behaviour in which the items which can be evaluated in emergency movements or with a very sporty or hard handling driving, which imply reaching the traction limits. Considering the current levels of transversal acceleration which can be reached on bends and the danger of these movements, the test must be performed in a circuit closed to traffic with sufficient escape routes.

Heel
It is the coupling part between the tyre and the rim. It consists of filler, bead core, lip, sole, air sealing ridge, bead bundle, hollow and bead wire. It is made of hard rubber and steel wires. It ensures tyre/rim fitting.

Hump
Profile of the rim for fitting tubeless tyres which ensure that the bead is seated (external balcony) even when the inflation pressure is lower than the operating pressure, preventing bead seat dislodgment.

Hydrodynamic pressure
It is the dynamic thrust of water flowing through the grooves of the tread during the tyre movement. When the value of the pressure in the grooves reaches the same pressure as that under the tread blocks the aquaplaning phenomena is caused.

Hysteresis
It is the phenomenon of heat dissipation of part of the mechanical energy supplied to a certain material to make it undergo a deformation cycle When rolling, the tyre undergoes a deformation cycle to which power absorption corresponds due to the effect of the hysteresis of the material composing it.
