Non studded tyres

Non studded tyres are effective in most weather conditions: mud, snow, and ice at very low temperatures.
The only conditions under which they do not ensure reliable performance is that of ice near melting point, hardened snow or 'verglas', for which studded tyres are recommended.
The state of the art technology created by Pirelli and by the other main European manufacturers in designing elements like structure , tread pattern, and compound means that 'M+S' non studded tyres are able to guarantee excellent performances on snow and ice.

This characteristic is beneficial because non studded tyres do not have to comply with the regulations of use associated with the studded tyres, meaning they can be used in normal weather conditions. For this reason they are also called 'all season' tyres.

It is always recommended that 4 non studded 'M+S' tyres be fitted. For assembly please follow the fitting recommendations provided by the tyre manufacturer.

Newly fitted tyres must driven at a moderate speed for approximately 100 km (62.5 miles). The maximum speed corresponding to the speed code marked on the tyre must never be exceeded even if the vehicle is capable of reaching higher speeds.

When the non studded tyres are fitted again after a period of non-use , make sure that they rotate in the same direction as the previous fitting. After winter use, it is, therefore, important to mark the direction of rotation on each tyre as well as the position where it was fitted.
