GP3 Series

Pirelli is the exclusive GP3 Series supplier, returning to single-seater racing for the first time since 1991.
The GP3 Series is intended to give young drivers a chance to develop their driving skills and then move into GP2.
30 drivers of 17 different nationalities, aged between 17 and 24, will take part into the 2010 championship: using the same Dallara chassis, Renault engine and Pirelli tyres, they will have the opportunity to showcase their driving skills. Two races with reverse grids will be run per each weekend.
THE TYRES

For the season Pirelli has developed specific slick and rain tyres, requiring a dedicated and specifically designed production process due to the particular tyre structure of the products used in this Series. Also the aromatic oil fee compounds used - three different versions for the slick, one for the rain – are new and have been developed specifically for GP3 tyres.
Sizes are: 230/570-13 front and 290/590-13 rear.
Each driver will have three sets of slicks and 2 sets of rain at his disposal per each event.
