After the World Superbike and the World Motocross Championship Pirelli is racing the World Endurance Championship.
Bikes derived from everyday road production, tuned to perform in long distance races (first appointment of the season is the 24h of Le Mans) and with a complex trade off between sofistication and reliability which needs to be replicated by all the different components and most of all by the tyres. Reliability is a fixed point for Pirelli that is not under discussion, but the real challenge is the adaptability from a racing point of view. One of the strenghts of Pirelli is the easiness of the tyres, the easiness with which riders with different bikes and most of all different riding styles can find the right feeling to push to the limit. Endurance, from this point of view, is the most representative discipline as different riders swap on the same bike during the race, and can find completely different conditions during the race. Pirelli tyres are really appreciated and thus looking at the grid plenty of riders are equipped with Pirelli in the different classes. And of course many of the most relevant teams race with Pirelli.
