World Endurance 2007
Double podium for Pirelli in the 2007 Endurance World Championship
November 2007 - Pirelli can celebrate a double success in the World Endurance Championship thanks to the great results scored by team Kawasaki Motor France and Yamaha Austria.
Endurance is a very important activity for Pirelli: bikes are similar to the end users' and need to perform at the best conditions with different riders and thus riding styles. Tyres need to offer a consistent performance and to adapt to different conditions.
Racing is never easy, and racing a World Championship is something that needs some efforts. Pirelli provided 17 different tyres in order to offer the best solution in the different races, moving around more than 17.000 tyres.
There's another great result when watching more in deep: in 2006 Pirelli had a grid share of 28% of riders, then after proving the great performance offered in 2007 that share moved to 40%, underlying Pirelli tyres are the best choice.
Kawasaki Motor France finished in 2nd position, preceding Yamaha Austria for only 1 point. In 5th position French team Endurance Moto 38, SuperProduction Champion, while thanks to the last race of the Championship in Doha, team Qatar Endurance reached the 11th position.
At the end of the Championship another good news for Yamaha Austria, able to finish 3rd the famous event Macau GP race with Thomas Hinterreiter.
