Zip Ty Racing Wins Pismo Beach WORCS on Pirelli Scorpions

Pirelli showed the wide-range of its winning tires this weekend at the Pismo Beach, California round of the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS), with Zip Ty Racing's Bobby Garrison leaving all competition behind for a dominating win.

It all began with Garrison grabbing the holeshot on a set of Pirelli Scorpion MX Soft tires. In the all-sand conditions, Garrison battled with a few riders in the Open Pro class, but led a lion's share of race laps and eventually crossed the finish line with a commanding win on his Zip Ty Racing Yamaha. This is Garrison's second win and third podium of the season, leaving him sixth in points, despite missing three rounds of Open Pro class competition.

Josh Whitmire, Pirelli MX Racing Manager, said, "Working with Ty Davis's team has been a great experience for Pirelli because we knew right from the start that it meant we'd be winning races. Since Ty believes in our tires Bobby does too and that's all we needed to get them on the top of the podium. We knew the Scorpions would do the rest."
