The compounds of DIABLO ROSSO represent the new state of the art, and are designed to offer unparalleled performance in all the usage conditions.
The main technical features are hereby listed:
Rear
- Compound with balanced mix of rigidity and hysteresis either at low or high temperatures to guarantee fast warm-up, immediate and linear grip response entering curves, independently from ground conditions;
- High mechanical resistance chemicals, with the optimal balance of silica and carbon-black charge to provide strong traction, regular wear even under heavy stress, unbeatable grip on wet ground and high mileage.
Front
- High rigidity and high hysteresis materials, characterized by high energy dissipation behavior. They provide fast warm-up, more grip, good traction and braking capability;
- Balanced ratio of Silica to carbon-black maximizes the grip both on wet and dry ground;
- New high-stability structure materials, designed to offer high and stable performance from cold high temperatures independently from external conditions.
Increased grip vs. Diablo does not mean that mileage has to be penalized. Pirelli engineers have worked on another innovatory concept: maximizing not only the performance of the single tyre, but of the wear balance of the entire set across its whole life.
This has been made possible with the tuning of the entire set given by the EPT integrated approach, which balances all the components operating on contact patch. DIABLO ROSSO raises the mileage of rear tyre near to the one of the front harmonizing the performance evolution among Front and Rear.
The solution enhances the tyre set performance and avoids the unbalance coming from new tyres fitted with worn ones. The benefit for the rider is to benefit of total driving performance across the entire tyre life.
